How to change the default folder where the install program

By default, if the windows operating system is installed on drive C, then the program or software that will be installed in the folder C: \ Program Files. The more you install a program or software, the more space is needed in C and automatic partition the remaining space / volume on partition C will decrease. Thus, the performance of the computer will be slower.

To prevent that, we can solve it by changing the default program installation folder of C :/ Program Files to another folder that has been created specifically for the installation program (example only, D :/ my program). Thus each of us install the program, then the installation program will lead to the folder D :/ my program not in C :/ Program Files. For that we make a few changes to the registry editor.

1. Go to registry editor

2. Then just go to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE \ SOFTWARE \ Microsoft \ Windows \ CurrentVersion
3. In the right panel, double click on the key ProgramFilesDir
4. Change the value data of C :/ Program Files to D :/ Programku (or any other your folder desired)

5. click OK
6. Restart or logoff your computer
From now on if shobat did install a software or a program, then the file will be in a folder installasi D :/ my program.
How the above can be done on windows xp or windows7
